'Binding'? We use the term binding to describe the process of bonding materials together to form a book. Spiral binding generally consists of braiding wire of a spiral shape through deliberate holes made near the edge of a booklet, it is usually used to finish off and protect raw edges. It also allows pages to be flipped right around without creasing so is ideal for cookbooks or instruction manuals. Size. The most common spiral sizes range from 1/4 inch to 7/8 inch although other sizes are also available. Colour. The most common colours are black or white, although alternative colours may also be available upon request.
